About the Firm

Having written two books over my twenty-plus-year financial career as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, I have developed a pretty good skill in making complicated financial issues understandable. I stay in regular contact with clients, who range from plumbers, teachers, and managers to multi-million dollar pension plans and investors. I live my life appreciative of the long-term friendships and relationships I have developed while helping a variety of people and companies navigate the world of investments, insurance, and financial planning.

I have clients in many states across the country - people I have met while traveling, friends from my time while living in Oklahoma, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Florida, and relatives and friends of existing clients.

I graduated from Jackson Academy in Jackson, Mississippi, and I was blessed to receive an academic scholarship to attend Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. I graduated with a BS in economics and a minor in communications in 1992. I earned my CFP® designation in 2001 from the College of Financial Planning. I also obtained a Master of Ministry degree from Luther Rice College and Seminary in 2021.

I have been married to Wendy Chester Woodrick since 1996, and we have three children: Whitney, Ashley, and Mason. From 2013-2015, we aired a TV show called Cast and Call Outdoors. Because I can conduct business from any location with a phone and Internet connection, we homeschooled the children and traveled the country in an RV in 2015, decided to live the farm life closer to a wider choice of colleges for the kids, and chose to move back to Nashville where my wife and I met in 1994. We lived in Tennessee from 2015-2022 and had a great experience living on a farm in Dickson and also having a home in Brentwood and Franklin. With all three children out of the nest, Wendy and I have moved back to the Florida Gulf Coast, and we are excited about this next phase of life.

My Christian faith is the most important aspect of my life. I play guitar at church and am always looking for ways to show the people in this world that they are loved and valued.

I have several licenses: Series 6, 7, 9, 10, 31, 63 and 65 securities registrations with LPL Financial; life, health and disability insurance license; and variable annuity license. I founded Woodrick Investment Consulting & Financial Planning, LLC in 2008. We changed the name to Woodrick Financial in 2023.

Whitney Woodrick is an Insurance Consultant specializing in life insurance solutions for individuals, families, and businesses. She takes an education-first, consultative approach, helping clients understand their options and choose coverage that aligns with their responsibilities, goals, and budget.

A former child TV show host, known for her strong people skills and genuine concern for her clients’ well-being, Whitney focuses on building trust through clear communication and thoughtful guidance. She believes life insurance decisions should be made with clarity and confidence—not pressure—and is committed to helping clients protect what matters most and achieve long-term peace of mind.
Whitney enjoys music, the beach, cooking recipes from her grandmother’s cookbook, photography, fitness, and health.
